Privacy Policy

ServiceClip ("we," "us," or "our") operates the ServiceClip platform, accessible at app.serviceclip.io, which helps churches process video recordings and extract sermon clips for social media and podcast distribution.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights with respect to that information.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you register for ServiceClip, we collect:

  • Church or organization name
  • Email address
  • Password (stored as a hashed value — we never store your plain-text password)

Video Content and Transcripts

When you upload a service recording, we store:

  • The video file itself (hosted on Cloudflare R2 and Cloudflare Stream)
  • A machine-generated transcript of the audio
  • Derived clip segments and metadata (titles, descriptions, timestamps)
  • Speaker identification data derived from audio analysis

YouTube OAuth Tokens

If you connect a YouTube account to publish clips, we store an OAuth 2.0 refresh token on your behalf. This token allows ServiceClip to upload videos to your YouTube channel without requiring you to log in each time. You can revoke this access at any time from your Google Account settings or from within ServiceClip.

Usage Data

We may collect standard server logs including IP addresses, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. This data is used to operate and improve the service and is not sold or shared with third parties for advertising purposes.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and improve the ServiceClip platform
  • Process your video recordings and generate transcripts and clips
  • Publish clips to YouTube or other connected platforms on your behalf
  • Communicate with you about your account, service updates, and support requests
  • Maintain security and prevent fraud or abuse

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored using the following infrastructure:

  • Database: Supabase (PostgreSQL), hosted on Supabase Cloud
  • Video and file storage: Cloudflare R2 object storage and Cloudflare Stream
  • Authentication: Managed by Supabase Auth

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, or disclosure. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

4. YouTube API Services

ServiceClip uses the YouTube API Services to upload video clips to your YouTube channel on your behalf. By connecting your YouTube account to ServiceClip, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.

We use YouTube API Services only to perform actions you explicitly authorize — specifically, uploading clips you have approved for publication. We do not read, modify, or delete any existing content on your YouTube channel.

You may revoke ServiceClip's access to your YouTube account at any time by:

  • Visiting Google Security Settings and removing ServiceClip from authorized apps, or
  • Disconnecting your YouTube account from within ServiceClip's Settings page.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your data with third parties except:

  • Service providers: Infrastructure providers (Supabase, Cloudflare, Anthropic for AI processing) that process data on our behalf under appropriate data processing agreements
  • Legal obligations: When required by law, court order, or governmental authority
  • Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data and content for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we will delete your data within 90 days, except where we are required to retain it by law.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data
  • Export a copy of your data

8. Children's Privacy

ServiceClip is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us immediately.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email or by a notice within the application. The updated policy will be posted at serviceclip.io/privacy with a new effective date.
